I know. What’s new in Subash Park, correct?

If you’re not in the mood to drive anywhere but want to get away from home for a while to somewhere peaceful, I cannot think of anything better than our own Subhash Park.

You could take the water metro from Kakkanad (we park our vehicle at the station) and then the metro from Vytilla to Maharaja’s and it’s a small walk to the park.

I feel Water Metro is the current best thing about Kochi. It’s the most scenic route and everything is so well managed. Many passengers (at least from Kakkanad to Vytilla) are still travelling for the touristy aspect than a commute and I can't blame them. There are a lot of walkways on the route and you can spot plenty of different birds too. And if you find birds too interesting, that’s probably how you can tell you’re officially in your 30s or above.

Once you reach the park, what do you do: you do nothing!

Simply sit and enjoy the sea view, look at the passing huge vessels, or just chill under any tree.

They play music sometimes, but fortunately, they’re easy old Malayalam songs, and not very loud.

We do bring a few snacks and drinks sometimes, and spend some hours just chilling and talking.

Since this is the Christmas season, this is the best time to visit Broadway and take a stroll through the red starry alleys and take some mandatory Broadway pictures.
